Hunting With Air Guns?

Remember those early days? A one pump max and no eye protection. Of course that all goes out the winder after you take a shot to the small of your back and you start putting fifteen pumps on a tem pump max pellet gun. About that time dad usually walks out and asks what the […]

Fuel Life

Before I kick this article off I have to give credit to Off the Grid News; which, after going through a fair number of webistes, provided great detailed information on fuel longevity. Right now in my little apocalypse shelter I have a diesel generator and several jerry cans with fuel; all of which I’m sure […]

Mountain Men and Rendezvous

I was on my forge the other day…correction, my brother’s forge; and working with the anvil…also my brothers.  As I punched a hole and shaped a rail spike into a miniature throwing tomahawk for my daughters I looked back on the adventures of my youth.  They’ve definitely influenced the way I try and play with […]

Urban Foraging (Dumpster Diving)

A recent conversation with some friends brought a college day experiment back into the lime light.  I told them how much I love cheap dollar frozen pizzas, and they countered by telling me they can get **** *******’s take and bake pizzas for even cheaper.  My mind was officially blown. At college we all know […]

Ebola

For those of you that are Blaze readers you’ve probably already read this article; but there is some good information to put out so I’ve shared the article in its entirety below.  I did however have one major issue with the article; I feel the author drastically downplayed the threat to give us a warm […]

Jonathan Prusse

I’m a guy who cares about his family. I want to make sure that those I love have the tools necessary to survive. In my own life I’ve seen the benefits which food storage and self-sufficiency have provided for my own immediate family during times of financial strain. Most of my own experience comes down to farm life, foraging in the woods, scouting, military service and combat deployments; to name several of life’s major building blocks. Not only do I want to share, I want to learn; so give me your insight. And while I do my best to ensure all information is correct; let me know if any corrections need to be made.
